Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of signing for Manchester United in a deal that sends Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal.
The Chilean forward has been open about a move away from North London and he soon may get his wish as a deal looks to be imminent with Mkhitaryan set to complete his medical in the next 48 hours.
Sanchez was close to signing for Manchester City in the summer transfer window but no deal materialised. It was expected that City would put forward a bid in the January window but the player and the club were not able to come to a deal. It was reported that Sanchez’s wage demands were a concern for City.
Manchester United came in with a late offer for the forward and it seems as if that deal will go through which sends midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal. The Armenian midfielder will undergo a medical within the next 48 hours and a deal could be announced soon.
Alexis Sanchez signed for Arsenal in 2014 from Barcelona and his since made 122 appearances for the club scoring 60 goals. In his time with Arsenal, Sanchez won the FA Cup twice and the Community Shield.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan joined Manchester United in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund for a fee in the region of £27m on a four-year-contract. He has made 39 appearances for the club scoring five in all competitions. During his one year with the club, Mkhitaryan won the EFL Cup, Europa League and Community Shield.
