For those wondering, WWE has no plans to turn Roman Reigns heel at any point in the near future. In fact, they haven’t really considered the idea since they decided to break up The Shield back in 2014.
As previously reported, the company decided to quit pushing Reigns as the top face of the company once the news broke that he failed a Wellness Policy test. The plan is to put him in a mid-card feud with Rusev and eventually over time, he will climb his way back into the top babyface position. We also noted earlier today that WWE plans to pair Roman with Seth Rollins to take on the team of Kevin Owens and Rusev sometime in the near future.
Even with Reigns getting booed out of the AT&T Stadium back at WrestleMania 32, they company feels that eventually fans will get used to him being the face of the company because he’s here for the foreseeable future. Basically, they will continue to have his back positioned as a babyface.
